Downsizr is the only platform where you can catalogue and disperse your belongings easily, seamlessly and thoughtfully, in your own time. We handle the operational complexity so you can focus on the decisions that matter: what to keep, gift, sell or donate, and selecting the partners you want to work with.

Record a video tour of your items. Tell us each piece's story, add provenance notes and condition details as you go. Downsizr identifies your pieces, extracts details from your narration, and builds a documented catalogue suitable for insurance, estate planning, or sale.

Controlled gifting

Offer pieces to family or friends through our private, invitation-only system. Recipients see only what you've offered them. If they're interested, they'll say so. If not, we'll walk you through several other options for your item.

Partner network

Some items need specialist handling. Period furniture requires careful removal. Fine art needs qualified consignment. Classic cars and vintage audiophile equipment deserve access to niche enthusiasts. We connect you with vetted niche partners – dealers, auction houses, experts and logistics specialists – local, national or global, depending on the item – who can quote on items directly through the Downsizr platform.

Marketplace selling

For less precious items, you can connect your Downsizr account to eBay, Facebook Marketplace and Etsy. Downsizr generates listings optimised for each platform: appropriate descriptions, correct category placement, competitive pricing. One action publishes across all connected channels. And when an item sells, other listings are automatically withdrawn.

You decide the pace. Some users process an entire house in a weekend. Others work through one room per month. The platform adapts to your timeline.

  2. 2. OrganiseReview items on a visual board. Assign each to a category: undecided, keep, sell, gift, donate, or throw away. Move items between categories as you refine your thinking.
  3. 3. ExecuteItems marked for sale are listed on your preferred marketplaces and/or quotes requested from our partners. Items marked for gifting are offered to your designated recipients. Donations and disposals are routed to appropriate handlers.
  4. 4. TrackMonitor progress across all channels. See what's listed, what's sold, what's pending collection. Export records for tax, insurance, or estate purposes.

Beyond ten items, Downsizr charges a small fee for item creation and cataloguing, and takes a percentage when items sell. Our interests align with yours: we succeed when your items find appropriate buyers at fair prices.

The company

Downsizr grew from the founder's direct experience helping friends and family disperse a lifetime of collected furniture, art, and objects. The process was inefficient, opaque, emotionally taxing, and ultimately left money on the table.

We've now built the tool we needed then – a single system to document everything, decide what goes where, and execute across multiple channels without becoming a full-time occupation.
